Esomeprazole is a P- type drug. It works in the same way as esomeprazole by blocking the production of certain natural cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). When cGMP is processed by the enzymes that produce the nervous system, cGMP is released into the body. Esomeprazole works by increasing the amount of cGMP produced by the stomach and intestines. When cGMP is increased, it increases the likelihood of getting diarrhoea, abdominal pain or other symptoms.
cGMP causes the cilia to produce granulocyte colony-stimulating factors (gel veins, granules in the blood)
cGMP causes the granules in the blood to thicken and form colonies. The thickeners divide and mature anogenital tissue to help develop new cilia.
cGMP is a hormone that causes the stomach to produce granules. In other words, a granule is formed in the stomach when the stomach produces an adequate amount of cGMP.
Esomeprazole blocks the production of this hormone. By blocking this hormone, Esomeprazole helps protect the stomach and intestines against acidity from the stomach.
